As an only comprehensive economic organization of the area established in 1940, Yeosu CCI has been conducting various projects and activities for the promotion of local economy and growth of local community.
Greater Yeosu city area is growing into the largest industrial heartland in the southern seaboard thanks to the large-scale national industrial complexes and Yulchon local industrial complex. Also, the city is getting dramatic momentum for development of local community through the creation of Gwangyang Bay free trade zone and the bid to host the 2012 Yeosu Bureau des International Exposition.
In this context, Yeosu CCI is exerting a lot of efforts to solve the local issues such as expansion of the SOC (Social Overhead Capital) facilities and regulatory improvement in addition to the endeavor to ease the difficulties of member firms. Toward that goal, Yeosu CCI is conducting ˇ°Let's love companies in Yeosuˇ± campaign in an effort to promote corporate investment by spreading the business-friendly environment.
Also, we have opened a testing center for government-authorized skill qualification exam to educate quality workforce for the nation's economic development. Yeosu CCI also contributes to the export promotion by issuing the trade-related certificates, and serves various management information of local community along with information from KCCI and 71 local chambers, government agencies and other economic organizations.
